A note from me
If you are reading this, something is probably bothering you — a tooth, a gum, or the fact that you have not been to a dentist in a while and are not looking forward to it.
I want to say two things before you decide whether to come in.
The first is that I will explain everything. Patients who write about this practice keep mentioning the explanation before they mention the treatment — "perfect explanation for all the queries" is how one of them put it. That is deliberate. You cannot consent to something you do not understand, and you cannot relax during something you did not expect.
The second is that this is a small practice, and it will stay one. I see a limited number of patients so that none of them are hurried. When someone brings their father in for multiple extractions, that appointment gets the time it needs, not the time the schedule allows.
If you are nervous about an extraction — and most people are — you should know that the patients who were nervous about theirs describe it afterwards as quick and painless. I would rather you came in and found that out than kept putting it off.

Questions I am asked most.
Will the extraction hurt?
The tooth and the gum around it are completely numb before I begin. The patients who were most nervous about theirs describe it afterwards as quick and painless — and they are the ones worth listening to, not me.
My gums bleed when I brush. Is that serious?
It is not normal, and it is the earliest warning of gum disease — which is the most common reason adults lose teeth that were otherwise perfectly healthy. Treated early it is straightforward. Left alone it is not.
How much will it cost?
You are given the whole figure before treatment starts, and the prices for everything I do are published on this page. If the plan changes, we discuss the price again before continuing.
Will I see you, or someone else?
Me. That is the point of a practice this size — the person who examines you is the person who treats you and the person who follows up afterwards.
Can I bring an elderly parent?
Please do. Longer appointments for elderly patients are booked deliberately, so nothing is rushed and there is time for a break in the middle if it is needed.
